A COMFORTING CALL
A Wind Phone is an unconnected telephone for talking with your deceased loved ones. The first Wind Phone was created in Japan in 2010, and today you can find Wind Phones across the world.
The Wind Phone at Greensprings was hand carved from honey locust by Artist Trenton Duerksen, a sculptor, draftsman, illustrator, and the Senior Exhibition Maintenance Manager at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC.
SUPPORT PLACES OF SOLACE
Greensprings is dedicated to nature stewardship that benefits native plants, pollinators and people. We recognize the tremendous comfort nature provides and work to create special places like the Wind Phone where grief is respected and welcome.
If you’d like to donate in memory of a loved one to support the maintenance of the Wind Phone or the Remembrance Grove, we welcome your contribution.
Any day of the week from 7am-5pm.
It is located on the Greensprings property.
There is no cost to talk to your loved ones.
